Borrowing from UK if living in USA?

Has anyone heard of this? I have super bad credit but have an offer from a gentlemen in the UK to loan me what I need. He requests that I first send him 10% of what I am requesting. Is this legit or a scam?

Any person or organization that request you to send a fee to borrow money is probably either a scam or not very legitmate. How can they expect you to have money to send if you are trying to borrow money?? Stay away from these "lenders" GOOD LUCK
Its a scam. No loan company would lend money outside of their country because it would be to hard to collect if you default.

If you send the money, how are you gonna get it back if they rip you off, especially outside of the U.S.
