hi im in the uk & trying to get a loan with a company standard assurance loans they claim they can loan me £20000 put ive to pay them £600 firsst has anyone else dealt with this company or is it a scam

Anyone who asks for money *before* they give you a loan is not legit. If you want or need a loan, go to a bank, not these scammer companies.
Certainly sounds like a scam. Go to a BANK. You'll get a better interest rate than from a loan company.
I wouldn't trust ANY company that asked me upfront for money, especially for a loan.
