Funding master degree in UK?
I need some advice. I have been accepted for a master degree course in England but my scholarship application has been turned down. I am non-EU citizen (nor US) and I wonder if there is a way for me to fund one year studies in UK such as a loan or charity fund. I heard about international educational funds providing loans for international students but they ask for a US co-signer (not my case).
Answers:
depends on the subject. there are plenty of subsidiary government bodies who fund. and also external charities which give bursary's. also companies that feel they could profit from your research are sometimes willing to give generously. have you asked at your institution?
There probably is, but my daughter is in the same position, and we live here, and she had to take out loan to cover her study costs, no reason why you can't do the same thing.
No chance. Indigenous students don't get funding so why should you. Sorry, harsh but true.

I cannot see a UK source giving you a loan if you're only going to be here for a year.
Im a UK student, and currently doing a Masters. I could not get any funding, and I am relying on parental help and savings. In other words.no way!
To be honest I don't know of any such loan or charity fund. If it were a PhD, you probably will get part funding. Funding for Masters programme are usually sourced from your home country such as commonwealth scholarship, British Chevening, etc. All the best in your search.
No funding available for Masters courses most are self funded so it looks like a loan is needed like everybody else.
