A UK bank closed my account nearly 7 years ago, I had an overdraft which was unpaid, they have sold the debt. There has been no activity on the account for nearly 7 years. Do I need to pay the company chasing me for the defult?

yes unless you declared bankruptcy you will be liable for the origional debt however you may not be liable for the interest that has built up on this. try speaking to the citizens advice bureau
