Chapter 13 and Secured Credit Card?

I filed Chapter 13 in 2004. I signed up to make payments for 5 years, so I have 1 1/2 years left on ch 13 payments. I was informed from my attorney that I would default on my Chp. 13 if I opened any kind of loan or account. What about a secured credit card? Would that be the same since it is secured and I'm only allowed to spend up to my deposit on it? I want to being rebuilding my credit asap.

Answers:
A secured credit card is still a credit card & a no-no! You have 1 1 /2 years left - dont "EF" it up now by doing sometihng your not supposed to do.
