Have you ever had to take an online first time homebuyers course in order to secure a home loan?

Answers:
No. But some states (Illinois being one) have recently changed their predatory lending laws to require that lenders making a "high-cost" home loan to borrowers have the borrower complete a first-time homebuyer course before the loan can be made. Some other lenders allow borrowers to take such a course and get a break on the mortgage price or fees because they feel an "educated" borrower is more likely to make the payment.
No never. I have only bought two though. What all do they cover?
